Sneet | Terms of Service

The rules that govern use of the Sneet platform for all users Last updated: May 2026 | hello@sneet.com.au | sneet.com.au

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Sneet platform, including the website, any associated mobile applications, and all related services (together, the Platform). By creating an account or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising from use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. Sneet is operated by Sneet Pty Ltd ACN 693 141 276. Contact: hello@sneet.com.au

2. What Sneet is

Sneet is a platform that connects users for local, short-term, age-appropriate tasks. Sneet acts as a connection service only. Sneet does not employ, engage, or contract teenagers or any other users. Sneet does not act as a labour hire service or staffing agency. Sneet does not supervise, direct, or control the performance of any task. Sneet does not arrange, collect, hold, or process payments between users. Sneet does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or suitability of any listing or user. All arrangements, agreements, and payments are made directly between users. Sneet is not a party to any such arrangement.

3. Eligibility and age requirements

To use Sneet you must be at least 14 years of age. Users under the age of 18 are subject to the additional requirements set out below and in the Sneet Safety and Community Guidelines.

Users aged 14 to 15: A parent or guardian email address must be provided at sign-up. Sneet will send a verification email to that address. The account will not be activated until verification is completed. By completing verification, the parent or guardian confirms they approve their child's participation and accept responsibility for monitoring that participation. Sneet reserves the right to deactivate any account where parental consent cannot be confirmed.

Users aged 16 to 17: May participate with greater independence but remain subject to all platform rules. A parent or guardian contact is recorded at sign-up. Parents are strongly encouraged to remain aware of their teenager's activity on the Platform.

Users aged 18 and over: Participate independently and are fully responsible for their own conduct and arrangements on the Platform.

Age misrepresentation: Providing false information about your age or the age of another person at sign-up is a serious breach of these terms and may result in immediate account termination and referral to relevant authorities.

4. User responsibilities

All users are responsible for their own decisions, conduct, and interactions on the Platform. By using Sneet, you agree to provide accurate and truthful information at sign-up and in any listing or profile. Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms and the Safety and Community Guidelines. Assess the suitability and safety of any opportunity before agreeing to it. Communicate clearly, honestly, and respectfully with other users. Agree on payment, expectations, and supervision arrangements before any task begins. Not post, share, or communicate anything that is misleading, harmful, inappropriate, or unlawful. Not contact other users outside the Platform for purposes related to any Sneet arrangement. Not pressure, coerce, or exploit any other user.

5. Rules for adult users posting jobs

Adult users who post jobs on Sneet must not post a job that is unclear or requires a teenager to make judgement calls about safety. Must not post a job involving private or sensitive spaces unless fully described in the listing. Must not post a job that gives a teenager sole responsibility for a child or vulnerable person. Must not contact a teenager outside of Platform messaging for any job-related purpose. Must not request a teenager's private contact details before a job is confirmed. Must not direct a teenager to attend a location not specified in the listing. Breach of these rules may result in immediate suspension, permanent removal from the Platform, and where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities.

6. Prohibited conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on Sneet for all users: Creating an account with false, misleading, or incomplete information. Impersonating another person or organisation. Using the Platform to facilitate illegal activity of any kind. Posting content that is offensive, discriminatory, threatening, or sexually explicit. Attempting to access another user's account without authorisation. Scraping, harvesting, or collecting data from the Platform without permission.

7. Listings and platform content

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any listing or content they post on the Platform. Sneet does not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy of any listing, user profile, or communication on the Platform. Sneet reserves the right to remove any listing or content that breaches these terms, the Safety and Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

8. Payments and arrangements

Sneet does not process, hold, or facilitate payments between users. All payment arrangements are made directly between users outside the Platform. Users are solely responsible for agreeing on a fair rate before any task begins, making and receiving payment as agreed, any tax obligations arising from payments received, and resolving any payment dispute between themselves. We recommend that payments be made by traceable methods such as bank transfer rather than cash, and that all agreements be confirmed in writing through Platform messaging before a task begins.

9. Moderation and enforcement

Sneet reserves the right to remove any listing or content that breaches these terms or our guidelines, suspend or permanently terminate any account where we have reason to believe a breach has occurred, and report information to police, child protection authorities, or other relevant agencies where we reasonably believe a child is at risk or where we are required to do so by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Sneet's liability to any user for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Platform is limited to AUD $100 or the amount paid by that user to Sneet in the 12 months preceding the claim. Sneet is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from an interaction between users, the conduct or reliability of any user, the outcome or quality of any task, any financial dispute or non-payment between users, or any indirect, consequential, or special loss. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the Sneet Platform is owned by or licensed to Sneet and is protected by Australian intellectual property law. Users retain ownership of content they post but grant Sneet a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

12. Changes to these terms

Sneet may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. For users aged 14 to 15, material changes will require fresh parental consent before the account can continue to be used.

13. Contact and disputes

For questions about these terms or to raise a concern, contact us at hello@sneet.com.au. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
